Wings Bow Ties

Soft wings that beg to be touched, an iridescent sheen that changes with every trick of the light...

No wonder Wings Bow Ties have fluttered straight into our hearts.

At Euphoria Photography, we are always looking for something a little different to recommend to future clients on our Let's Elope! wedding directory page.  We were delighted to meet up with the lovely Andy and Nicola, the creative couple behind the bow ties.

Nicola and Andy met in 2011, when a mutual love of tarantulas brought them together...  Six years later, they live and work on Skye as a wildlife guide and skipper duo for Go To St Kilda.

The bow ties originated when Andy and Nicola were planning their wedding.  After settling on a "Birds and Botany" theme, they featured birds on their invitations, centre pieces and table names.  After unsuccessfully searching to find a floral print for the groomsmen's ties, Nicola suggested they incorporate the bird theme into the bow ties.  The idea began to take wings (see what we did there?) and it was decided to make bow ties with feathers on them.

Both being creative they decided to give it a go, and the first Wings Bow Tie was created.

Andy wore the first tie out to a number of events and was constantly bombarded with people asking where they could buy one too.  That was where the pair got the idea to set up ‘Wings Bow Ties.'  Taking inspiration from birds and nature there couldn’t have been a better place to set up the company than on the stunning Isle of Skye.

For wedding parties that would prefer something more on their particular colour theme, Wings Bow Ties offer to make special bow ties incorporating in the bride and grooms colours alongside white feathers.

They are open trying new idea and designs and encourage those to get in touch who require custom pieces for their special day.

They hope that locals and visitors alike will appreciate the care and time that goes into producing something so special, unique and reflective of the dramatic island where they were made.
