Getting Married On The Isle Of Skye In Winter
14 December 2012

Does Winter freeze out your ideas of a romantic wedding on the Isle of Skye?  Although it is often a time for planning weddings, it can still be a fabulous time of year to come to the Isle of Skye to marry.  While the days are shorter, the scenery can still be so gorgeous and a beautiful background for your wedding photographs!  Many of the hotels are quieter - so there is better attention for just the two of you and a more intimate “feel” for your visit.  (There can also be extra savings visiting Skye off-peak.)

Inverness is around three hours to drive.  There is also a regular coach service and the much-acclaimed scenic route by train from Kyle-of-Lochalsh to Inverness.

If the snow is good, which it has been for the last few years and looks to be again this year, the ski slopes at Nevis Mountain Range, near Fort William, is around 2 ½  hours drive.

All the usual outdoor activities for which Skye is renowned are available - with caution, bearing in mind the weather conditions.

The food is good with a variety of options for different tastes.

But, if you just want to hole-up for your honeymoon and enjoy Highland hospitality and a warm fire, why not check out our FAQ Venues for availability?

Don’t forget to get in touch with us at Euphoria.  We would love to hear all about your Winter Wedding!
